Munwar Hussain – Associate Consultant

AIMA1 010.JPG Munwar is an independent consultant with extensive equality, diversity and H.R experience within various business sectors and organisations. He is a business graduate currently completing his MBA.

From a young age Munwar has been involved with local community based engagement and capacity building projects in his hometown of Dundee, including becoming a youth council and committee member. This experience continued and he has established a reputation for excellent knowledge and expertise and a personable manner. 

He has completed various exciting ventures including the delivery of a large cultural change project around diversity training throughout the UK as well as designing, delivering and evaluating training for the Forestry Commission.  Further work includes providing consultancy for Capability Scotland, a leading disability charity, along with supporting a large college to provide succesful work place programmes for its students with additional support needs.

Furthermore he is an independent diversity advisor for the Lothian Police Board where he supports senior police officers in meeting their statutory duties and reviews hate crimes, community issues and relations. He is also a board member for a large housing association with an £18million turnover, a lay member for the Royal College of General Practitioners National Advisory Group and a member of a diversity planning committee for the CIPD amongst other advisory commitments.

As well as experience within all areas of Equality and Diversity, he has key experience and an interest within building cultural competency within organisations, disability equality and promotion through effective marketing initiatives.

In his free time he enjoys reading, travel and keeping fit through the gym and walking.
